BrightCam is the most ingenious software utility I have seen for years! Developed by mytreo.net forum member Jean-Francois Morreeuw (JFMw) BrightCam will automatically adjust the LCD brightness on the Treo 600 depending on the light levels measured by the internal camera.

Inspired by a forum conversation here at mytreo.net, JFMw writes “I tried some little applications to modify the brightness. Alas, sometimes I’m inside, sometimes outside, and it doesn’t depend on the time. So, how could we set this brightness in a more efficient way? BrightCam is the answer!”

Enable BrightCam on your Treo 600, and the LCD brightness will be set during Power On automatically. When a low brightness condition is detected, the keyboard is also set to the night mode.
