Smile Internet Networks has designed an application just for American Idol Fans. American Idol Tracker helps American Idol fans keep notes on the performances, the performers, and the remarks from the judges. American Idol Tracker also allows users to sort the notes for easy review when it comes time to vote for their favorite Idol!
American Idol Tracker is a clever application with some advanced features. It allows users to enter the name of the idol, the song they performed, and the remarks of the judges. American Idol Tracker also allows the user to rate each performance and automatically dates and times each note for easy reference. With two dedicated sort buttons, users can sort their notes either by episode or by idol. There is also a “My Idol Notes” feature that allows users to enter their own notes about each performance. When using this feature, users can use the keyboard to type their notes or just scribble a quick note using the stylus. I found this to be a great feature for those who don’t want to use the keyboard. You can even share your notes by beaming them to other devices.

Fantastic! I could really use the Idol Tracker - BUT - in New Zealand we get all the shows several days behind USA. So this device could spoil all the fun of watching the shows…

Hmm…conspicuously missing is a dialing feature for Treos & other PalmOS phones. I’d like assign the correct voting phone number to each performer via a pre-filled pull-down menu (remember these are 866 numbers! :), then simply tap a button to vote for my favorite.
