Palm was very caring in giving us a time limit while using our devices. Rather than let us drain our batteries, they put a limit of up to three minutes when "No Activity" is detected, wherein your device shuts down. That's fine if you're looking up a phone number or address. But if you're really involved in editing a document with, say Documents To Go...well, we've all been there. Grrrrr!
Coming to our rescue have been several applications designed by users who got tired of that safety net.
Thus the various applications designed to override that feature.
AutoOff v1.3 was a freeware application I found, after having troubles with a similar application
that would always change back to three minutes after a soft reset.
Like similar applications, you can preset a time-off limit of your choosing.
This one allows from 10 seconds up.
Tap on the left side to input your choices, (which can be changed at any time), then tap "Set".
The three values then, can be accessed whenever you open the app.
I also like the "Check on every app quit" feature. It keeps other applications
from changing your chosen timer value set in AutoOff.
This absolutely ensures it works on every program on your device.
There is also an "Always On" feature which is great for extended periods of time.
Just remember to re-enable one of your preset times when you're finished.
This "Warning" will pop up when you tap "Always On".
This version, as brought out earlier is Freeware..
