  1. Glad Palm supports the Treo 650 for VZW. Now Palm, get your act together and fix the bugs on the Treo 700p for VZW and Sprint–fix the bluetooth, sluggishness with switch apps and sluggishness when phone reception is poor, etc.

  2. when will there be a bluetooth update for cingular?????

  3. FYI, I was not able to get the Mac version of this installer to work. It says there is supposed to be a folder called “PALM” expanded from the install file, but there is not. I had to do it from a Windows machine, which worked fine.

  4. After running the updater, my phone now doesn’t show the “Verizon Wireless” label in the top left hand corner anymore. Has anyone else had that result?

By the way, Palm gives 2 sets of instructions on the Mac updater page, and you need to use the second set, which is uses the “Install Handheld Files” option rather than copying the files to your memory card and running the update from there

  5. I had a similar “issue” with the lack of Verizon Wireless on top (which I thought was a GREAT thing). When I did *228 send and updated the software it corrected it

  6. THAT’s what’s missing! I knew there was sometihing in that corner, but couldn’t remember what.

  7. Yes I noticed the Verizon Wireless banner missing too after the update, when updated the how-to says to dial *228 from your phone and complete the over the air programming and update the roaming capability, once you do this the Verizon Wireless banner will once again appear at the top of the screen.
