Treo 600 “Push-email” is on the Verizon
Verizon Wireless has announced that their upcoming version of the palmOne Treo 600 will include Wireless Sync, an Intellisync-based always-on e-mail service. Wireless Sync will offer constant synchronisation of e-mail, calendar, contact list, tasks and other conduits, including up to three POP3 or IMAP e-mail accounts. The e-mail synchronisation is compatible with Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes on a desktop PC. Verizon claim that later versions will also include support for synchronizing directly to groupware servers.
The Treo 600 from Verizon Wireless is available for $449 USD with two-year service agreement, or $499 with a one-year agreement. Data plans start at $24.99 USD for 5 MB of data per month when added to a voice plan of $35 USD per month or higher. Wireless Sync is included in all NationalAccess data plans.
