The Expansys website is now offering pre-orders for the PalmOne Treo 600, available on Tuesday 1st June either SIM free (handset only) or on the O2 network. The SIM free version will launch at £469.45 (£399.53 exc. VAT) or with an O2 Connection from £234.45 (£199.53 exc.). This appears to be a lone venture by Expansys and there is no mention of any official launch of an O2 branded Treo 600. The SIM free represents good news for would-be Treo owners who prefer to Pay-As-You-Go, as Orange UK continue to offer the Handspring version of the Treo 600 to contract customers only. The launch price, although more expensive than Orange (£99 inc), looks in the same area as similar spec Pocket PCs and is also comparable to current US prices of the Treo 600.
