Palm OS Licensees, Partners and Developers Congregate at CTIA Wireless

(NASDAQ: PSRC), provider of Palm OS®, a leading operating system powering next generation mobile devices and smartphones, today highlighted the contributions of its licensees, partners and Palm OS application developers attending the CTIA Wireless I.T. and Entertainment show at San Francisco’s Moscone Center, October 25 through 27.

PalmSource at CTIA Wireless
PalmSource will be exhibiting in the palmOne and Orange booths. In the palmOne booth, PalmSource will be demonstrating a variety of entertainment and enterprise software for Palm OS, including Field Ranger, Handmark Express, Pocket Tunes, Sendia and WorldMate. At the Orange Partner booth, developers can learn best practices for creating Palm OS applications, get information on the Orange Developer program, and test-drive award-winning smartphone software on the latest Orange-branded Palm Powered devices.

PalmSource Partners at CTIA Wireless
Palm OS® licensees exhibiting at CTIA Wireless include palmOne and Kyocera Wireless. palmOne offers a variety of Palm Powered™ smart mobile devices including the Treo line of smartphones and the Tungsten and Zire handheld lines, while Kyocera Wireless offers the Kyocera 7135 smartphone.

Palm Powered Mobile World wireless operator partner Orange and infrastructure partners Bitfone, Handmark, Intellisync, PowerByHand, Visto and WideRay are also exhibiting at CTIA Wireless. Launched in the fall of 2003, Palm Powered Mobile World is a program designed to connect mobile operators, infrastructure providers and software developers to efficiently bring Palm OS solutions to market, providing increased revenue opportunities and a superior user experience for Palm Powered smart mobile devices.

Enterprise Solutions
A number of Palm Powered enterprise solutions are being showcased during CTIA Wireless. On Monday, October 25, palmOne president Ed Colligan kicks off the show with an Enterprise Solutions keynote address, describing the enterprise need for wireless mobility solutions. The keynote begins at 9:30 a.m. PDT.

Jud Bowman, president and COO of PowerByHand, Inc., will present during the Wireless Solutions Workshop on Tuesday, October 26 at 1:00 p.m. PDT in room 3001. The Wireless Solutions Workshop offers a series of presentations detailing real-life implementations of enterprise-grade wireless solutions that can be immediately deployed in a range of areas, including field sales and field service; healthcare; CRM; access to general-purpose applications; email and messaging; and telematics.

Email solutions rank first among all enterprise applications and Palm OS supports a wide range of email clients from companies including Good, Infowave, Intellisync, Nexic, Notify Technology, RIM Blackberry, Seven and Visto. Several of these email solutions vendors will be at CTIA Wireless showcasing their applications, including Good, Intellisync and Visto.

Other enterprise software such as Documents to Go, a popular application from DataViz, Inc., will be demonstrated at the DataViz and palmOne booths. Documents to Go allows users to open and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files from their mobile device, greatly improving productivity while on the move.

Entertainment Solutions
CTIA Wireless attendees interested in reviewing the breadth of entertainment applications available for Palm OS® can visit the PowerByHand booth for demonstrations of Palm OS software including the new Pocket Tunes 3.0, featuring support for WMA music files, faster file copying and easier file organization.
