Palm OS Applications Run on the Treo 700w

This news thanks to Brighthand.
The latest version of StyleTap supports the Windows Mobile Treo 700w. As a result, users can now run thousands of programs originally written for the Palm OS on the Treo 700w.
The developer points out that, while a lot of Windows Mobile applications do not run properly or are awkward to use on square screen Windows Mobile 5.0 devices, Palm applications are a perfect fit.
This application retails for $29.95.

best of both worls
It says “Edge” in the menu bar, which, I assume, stands for the game “Extreme Dungeon Game Experience”: a new game for the Palm OS.
I was wondering that too. It’s “EDGE”, their website is here: http://www.rzanerutledge.com/edge/index.html
The Treo 700w is an evil device, forged from the deepest fires of hell. I am glad software like this exists to help shorten it’s evil grasp and bring back peace & harmony to the world of Treos.
Ironically, this may make the Treo the most useful WinceMobile device - you can be stuck with WinceMobile and yet still be able to emulate the PalmOS pretty well.
It’s nowhere the same as an ACTUAL PalmOS on the device, but we don’t have much choice except for the years-old Treo 600/650 with their lousy amounts of RAM and dbcache.
MAYBE a 700p will come along with 128MB RAM, 10MB dbcache, and the other improvements sorely needed. But for now if you can’t wait, Styletap is an interesting experiment.
Does this mean we can run a web browser designed for palm OS without using up all the program memory?
