Palm and Sprint announce Digital Life Press Conference
SUNNYVALE, Calif. and OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Sept 26, 2007 (Press Release) Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq: PALM) and Sprint (NYSE: S) invite credentialed media and market analysts to attend a press conference at DigitalLife on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007. The event, held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City, will begin with lunch at 12:15 p.m. EDT, immediately followed by the press conference at 12:30 p.m. EDT. The news will include a new Palm smartphone for Sprint.
At DigitalLife, Palm also will feature hands-on demonstrations of its latest smart device for Sprint at the Palm Lounge, Booth No. 435.

Wow! A 755P…..with a micro sdcard (think available up to 2 gig but the Sprint guy says 4 gig)….and what looks to be the same operating system (confirmed by Ed)….for 99 bucks (plus additional rebates?). 3G speeds too. Smaller form factor? Thank God I didn’t buy a 755?
Seems like the only difference is a SLIGHTLY smaller screen and the transflash (micro) sdcard.
The rest of the cast seems like a downplay of just how much alike the centro and 755p are.
One funny thing is the Sprint guy saying it is easier to contact his kids with text as opposed to phone calls. My kid is the same way. Won’t answer a call but will text me immediately.
