According to our colleagues at Treonauts, a resourceful hacker shadowmite has "DUN it again" and found a way to circumvent the disabled dial-up-networking (DUN) on Cingular’s Treo 650 GSM:

"Over the last 24 hours, Shadowmite and one lucky Treonaut (Milo) who got his hands on an early Cingular Treo 650 exchanged a number of files, tested and refined a patch until finally a few hours ago Milo confirmed that DUN functionality had been ‘restored’ on his Treo.  He’s still trying to get everything tested on his computer but if the past is any indication it will only be a matter of hours before Shadowmite has again completely ‘fixed’ this issue."
