Welcome to the new look site
Welcome back! The site has been down this weekend while I implemented a new site design and changed a few things in the background to make the site more user friendly. We felt that the site needed an injection of new energy and this is our first step towards reaching that goal.
The site now uses Wordpress to publish the articles and this will allow us to more easily post new stories and allow more people to contribute to the site. One major side-effect of this is that any links pointing to the old articles will now result in “Page not found” errors. It will take me a little while to fix these so please be bear with us in the meantime.
We hope you enjoy the new site and we look forward to bringing you more great content than ever before. If you have any comments about the new site or have any problems please feel free to leave a comment here or post over in the forums.

Formidable ! (even when viewed from mymobile)
The site design looks fine on my computer, but I’m having trouble accessing the mobile and ultra-light versions of the forum on my device. On my Sprint Centro, both of these links seem to just give me a list of recent posts — I don’t see a list of the areas of the board to choose what section I want to visit or any way to navigate to other sections of the board/forum. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
Hi Dronak, thanks for flagging that up. I have fixed it now. You’ll need to refresh the home page then try the links again.
Best
Chris
Hmm. mobilly on my treo, it is clean with text. exiting out of mobil view, it is clean with text. not much graphically. will see what it looks like on my computer. i’m sure it’s fine, why wouldn’t it be?
THANK YOU! The site was in desperate need of a face lift, and it looks AWESOME! Now all we need is a steady flow of content…
The site looks fine.
my only concern is that what happened with the searching. Is doesn’t work for me. I’ve tried in the download section and lead me to main page.
Thanks for the feedback folks. Keep it coming. I’m pleased that the overall feedback is positive!
imre, you’re right, the search is broken at them moment. I will hopefully get round to fixing it this evening.
The new site looks great! (love the banner) I think Jorin hit the nail on the head. All we need is a steady flow of some great content and this site will back to its greatness.
Fresh new look..but need more visuals.. ; ) pixtures would be great.
One comment: would it be possible to retain an archive of ‘Latest Downloads’ (’…more’), for those of us who can’t be sure to visit every day.
Thanks
Chris
I like it, but I think it needs just a little bit more to look at, as wsh_81 said. It looks a bit like “johnny come lately,” which, of course, is the furthest thing from the truth. The trick will be to fill out the site without cluttering the pages.
And considering there are some sections of the site that broke with the update, I’d put that information at the top of the front page somewhere. So that regulars won’t be put off and, perhaps a side benefit, newcomers will realize that MTDN already has a large user base.
It is sooo different from the way it looked before that at first I thought I’ve typed the wrong URL!!! I’m sure I will miss it at first but as long as we have the same old areas back and running…it’s fine! It looks like it is faster to load as it is now because it is lighter on pictures. Well done!
dont like the size. now it is centering like the old old site. it is waste of space on large monitors.
the mobile main page is dead and dull I miss the old look. no pictures? and the downloads still don’t redirect automatically on any of my three treos can we fix that?
