mytreo.net welcomes Toysoft as an Associated Developer
It is with great pleasure that mytreo.net welcomes Danny Wong (smiley) of Toysoft, Inc. as an Associated Developer. Toysoft’s products are now available from mytreo.net/store.
This is an exciting time for Toysoft. In just a few days, the company will be releasing LightWav PRO. Lightwav is a ringtone manager and call filtering program for the Treo 600 & Treo 650. It can accommodate virtually every standard (MIDI/WAV/MP3/OGG/WMA/AAC). It also allows you to use video and animations as video callerID.

LightWav PRO is also packed with new features. It includes the following features to start, with a promise of many more to come:
* Call completion notes. Keep track of history conversation notes about the call. Add callback and meeting appointments to the calendar application, export call notes to memopad or text file on the external card.
* Dial any phone number in the custom ringer list
* Ability to block or pickup+hangup on no callerID or Unknown callerID
* For individual ringer you can specify the position of the wav/mp3/ogg ringtone to play at. Requires PocketTunes
*AutoAnswer for individual ringer
* Set callback appointment for individual ringer. eg: set a callback appointment in the calendar for 1 hour if Bob calls
While LightWav 5.7 will be supported and maintained for bug fixes, this will be the final release of this standard version. No new updates will be forthcoming, although LightWav 5.7 will continue to be sold for a while. (Toysoft also offers mp3 Ringer, which is essentially LightWav Light.) Current owners of LightWav will be able to upgrade to LW PRO for $5.99, while newcomers will pay $24.95.
Toysoft has also revamped its KoolAlarms program, and released it as KoolSounds. KoolSounds is amazing because it can replace any system sound on your Treo. You are no longer stuck with the rising and falling tones when turning on your radio: now you can use any wav or mp3 that you want! Error message? How about a voice saying “are you sure you want to do that?” My favorite feature in KoolSounds is setting the eerie tone of Scotty beaming someone up to the Enterprise for beaming apps from my Treo to another handheld. It sure causes some Spock-like raised eyebrows!

Of course, KoolSounds can still be used for any program that triggers an alert or alarm. I love having SnapperMail tell me “you’ve got mail!” or AgendusPro singing out “School’s Out Forever” when it’s time to leave for an appointment.
All Toysoft’s applications come with a two week trial period, and are available right here on mytreo.net. Welcome, Toysoft!
