This PC/palm application will allow you to transfer the contents of your PC clipboard to your Treo.

Works well and I use it all the time for capturing info from the web.

Wow, that is a great find! I've tried it by copying the Print version of a plan from Mappy. Had to set the Preferences of Vikao to use color instead of gray scales, but then it worked like a charm. Very straightforward and easy to use, I can see myself using it all the time.

Very cool.  Previously I used Handstory Suite, but discontinued use because the interface non-intuitive and it had no support for the 5-way dpad.  This sems to be a simpler program which is line with my needs -get text and on rare occasion an image from an app on my PC to my Treo via a sync.  The price is right to!

This little applications is particularly useful for all those bits of information you need on you but can never be bothered to create a new memo or similar for, just highlight, copy and bingo its on your treo and available every time you need.

huge thanks for drawing attention to this piece of freeware.

Hi Stevo,

Welcome to mytreo.net, a good place to be!

Link seems to work fine for me - the download link is at the bottom of the page you link to.

Are you surfing from your treo?

cheers, Rod

I'm glad you aren't as lazy when it comes to building this site  Cheesy.

And yeah, Vikao...I think the developer is French, what do you expect?  Shocked Mic, olac, euroclie and the others: just kidding!!! ;D

Hey, has anyone had any problems with this program? Namely, after I install it, no program groups are created (on the PC) and I can't find the string "Vikao" anywhere on my hard drive, i.e. to run the program after I restart.

I use this and find it very useful. My internet access is in a seperate partition to all my other stuff so I'll have to get back to you about default locations for files but...

For windows, as you say no program groups or shortcuts are created. However, you should see a small pale green pda icon in the system tray. With something on the clipboard click this system tray icon and the program should run. I'll get back to you on file locations.

Oh! I haven't been able to find the files either. However, you should be able to access it if you've found the icon in the system tray. Once you use it (and before you synch) it puts a couple of files in the directory \palm_user_name\vikao. These are deleted during the synch.

Odd... it starts in the System Tray now, after restarting. I swear that it wasn't there before when I restarted.

Also, I wonder how it starts up. I'm using SpyBot - Search & Destory's System Startup under Tools (or you can go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information > Software Environment > Startup Programs), and I don't see that Vikao is listed there. Is it not listed as a Service under Windows XP, either.
