I have used the Palm Treo 650 for several years. I do not have a contract, but use pay-as-you-go.

Recently I bought the T-Mobile T349, also pay-as-you-go. It allows me to get email without a contract. So there
must be a way to get email on the Treo 650. VersaMail causes the Treo to shut down and start up again. I have read about a fix, but can't find an active link to do this.

I think there must be an application for the Treo 650 that will work with T-Mobile pay-as-youj-go. I have tried Eudora mail, and when I complete the setup, the Treo just does nothing.

I think any email program will require some special server information that I'm not aware of.

Any suggestions or success with this?

Just looked about, I think you have to access T zones by adding a data plan, but could be  wrong T mobile site was difficult to find  their info

Perhaps at mobile user will stop by.

I'm on ATT prepaid and they have a  data plan that can be added per month

No, you do not have to have a data plan with T-Mobile to use t-zones (which has become web2go) on your
Treo 650.

Use the Blazer browser, and enter 216.155.165.30 for the URL. The Treo will then ask is you want to go on line and find the T-Mobile home page for web2go. From there you select "Web & Applications" and see
CNN, ABC News, and ESPN. Simply select one of the three for free web browsing.

This is a great feature, formally available on the T-Mobile Sidekick with a data plan.

So, perhaps there is a way to get email on pay-as-you-go, since I can get email on the T349 (check it out with T-Mobile) without a data plan. Getting a list of your emails is free, but viewing them will cost about a minute.
