help with streaming

Can someone answer this question for me:

I like to listen to streaming audio from from the internet on my Treo.  Lots of shows/music that are broadcast over the airwaves are also broadcast on the internet where the website URL is in the form of blabla/online-radio.php or can pop up an audio player app with a URL like blabla.m3u.  

I had no problem listening to streaming audio on my old Treo 755, but can't get anything to play with my new Treo Pro.  I've tried different browsers, Opera & Skyfire, instead of IE, but still no success.  I thought I'd try a different player app besides Windows Media, but when I tried to install PocketPlayer_PocketGear.exe on my Treo Pro, I got "'PocketPlayer_PocketGear' is not a valid Pocket PC application."

Another issue I have with Windows Media on my Treo Pro is that the large mp3 podcasts sound really awful, with skips and loud blurps that I don't hear on other mp3 players or on my laptop (on Windows Media!).

Sprint and Palm customer support was not much help.  Anyone have any ideas??  Thanks!

make sure you connected to evdo network, maybe it was connection problem,i often use my treo pro to listen streaming radio and it is working very well
