New to the site..have some issues with my 700wx

Ive had my treo for about 2 months. When i first got it, i loved it. i couldnt believe how i lived life without this. im a small contractor, so this definetly helped out during business. didnt much like the camera, but i hardly used it. well my problems are as follows.

Some of the programs (for example: calender, text message, internet explorer) take FOREVER to load up on the screen. they didnt use to when i first got my phone. i have to press the OK button to completely shut off programs i exited out of and are still running in the background. also, when i do that, ill see the active sync listed on there and i wasnt syncing my phone.

is there anything i can do or do i need to get a new phone?

Hey....

Welcome to windows mobile. The big problem with this OS on Treos, is that it does not fully clean a program out of the RAM when you close out of the program, and the RAM is small. So the device gets bogged down.

Do a Soft Reset (reboot) everyday to free up the RAM. This should help a great deal.

Sometimes a Hard Reset is needed to dump the storage memory, and do a selective restore of your progies.

Another thing to do, is get pmClean, this will clean up old Notifications, Temp Files qnd clean up IE Cache and History. Do a search fo it.

thanks for the help. i went to get pmclean and i was forwarded to another website. my 700wx has windows mobile 6. so it isnt supported anyways.

Don't give up after one try. I did a search for you and found the site. pmClean works on WinMo 5, WinMo 6 and I'm using it on WinMo 6.1 which is on my Sprint Touch Pro.

From your device, tap the link and scroll down to the bottom of the page and download pmClean v1.07 .cab file.

Save it to your device and run the cab file to install pmClean. When installed, you'll find it in your programs.........

   Another GREAT program to free up memory & make Reg Edits a breeze is MemMaid. You can get from xda-developers.com, or possibly even here. It has a RAM cleaner, Quick Cleaner & Advanced Cleaner as well. You can also tweak the registry to increase speed or memory. Lots of great features. Give it a try.
