Daughters 700W wont turn on

Hi;

My daughter has a Verizon Treo 700W. On Sunday to shut it off, I took the battery out of it. Today when she put the battery back in it, all it does is light up and show the word "Treo". It wont go any further.

There is no memory card in place for it to hang up there.

I also tried holding the red power button down while installing the battery. It asks me if I want to hard reset. I click the "Up Arrow" to hard reset and it still only lights up with "Treo" on the display.

Any idea what is going on?

Any help / advice would be appreciated.

Hey.......

Is the battery fully charged? If so, do see a progress bar on the bottom of the Palm logo screen when you put the battery back in?

If you are doing the hard reset correctly, and it does appear that you are from what said.

It appears that the device is toast. Bring it to a Verizon repair center to have it checked.
