Hi guys,

We have posted the latest PictureSMS 1.15 Beta on our website. Here is the changes:

1. NEW: Picture ID in the chat thread. LilPic's pictures will be used. If you are still using small
pictures like the 30x37 pixel, we suggest you to use a bigger picture to get the best out of this
cool new feature. You have to enable this option in pSMS’ Preferences.

2. NEW: Save or Draft Folder. This folder can store draft SMS for future sending, SMS that has
high importance or has sentimental value, and frequently forwarded/sent SMS. Basically, any
text message is possible to save here. Examples are draft SMS, favorite quotes from our love
ones, reminders by SMS, greetings, etc. SMS can be transferred here from any form that shows
SMS (SMS Chat thread, SMS Scheduler, Quick Reply, Compose form). From the Save folder,
you can automatically transfer it to SMS Scheduler or Compose SMS form for easier sending.
The order is by the saved date.

3. NEW: Option to breakdown long SMS to individual 160-character SMS. A must have for
Sprint network subscribers.

4. NEW: Hide timestamps option in chat threads.

5. NEW: SMS Export to Comma Separated Values (CSV) File format. One of the advantages is
the ease of viewing of the tabulated SMS on the desktop or Treo on-board document reader (if
installed). Microsoft Excel and Open Office supported.

6. NEW: Copy Phone # to clipboard menu in the chat threads.
7. NEW: vCard or Business card handling is now supported. Yes, the technology behind
vCardManager is now on PictureSMS. vCardManager is still available for the built-in messaging
app users and it can still be used by pSMS users by turning this feature off.

8. NEW: After sending an SMS via the Quick Reply, form will now automatically close after the
SMS has been successfully sent.
9. NEW: Added "FW:" on the forwarded SMS.
10. NEW: Added "Add Unlisted Contact" option in SMS Scheduler.
11. NEW: Option to automatically exit a form when a message is copied to Saved folder.
12.NEW: Restore pSMS databases from card backup to the RAM.
13. IMPROVED: Way better navigation.
14. IMPROVED: "Edit" context menu.
15. IMPROVED: Picture handling.
16. IMPROVED: Faster and more graceful exit.
17. FIXED: Screen not turning on if new SMS has arrived and SMS reminder has triggered (on
some Centro and Treo).
18. FIXED: LilPic and sound file lists are now sorted.

19. FIXED: Conflicting menu shortcut for View/Go to Top menu and Edit Copy Text menu. The
latter is now assigned to menu J.
20. FIXED: Refresh after single SMS deletion.
21. FIXED: Database not open error after deleting a Blocked number.

Special thanks to all the people who participated in this version.

OK - off to try this thing (cause if it does all of this and all of it well, I'm sooo gonna be buying this thing now)

(And I like how you pulled a Rob and went underground basically all this time emerging with a TON of new features!)

@mucci

PictureSMS doesn't do anything while your phone is in Sleep mode. Safeguard is sometimes reporting a wrong app.

@sassiebrat

Thanks.  Smiley

@yupa

Yes, I was just testing the water for CSV export feature. It will be added on the coming versions. Real-time export to CSV or to Memopad.

@PamelaT650

Hmm..I'm using Treo 680 and it's working like a charm. Can you please email me the details? It's support@suntzu-software.com. Thanks.

@jin555

Try to completely uninstall and reinstall again. But of course, do a backup first.  Smiley

Aiite: I have been forgetting to post this and/or then putting off posting this for waaaaay too long now, so here goes.

One of my absolute favorite features of the old CallFilter wrt SMS was autoreply text, cause even though CF was made for Calls, it handled that feature (or rather: was built to handle that feature) by FAR better than n e other app. Not only because of its integration with Profiles (which allowed for it to be customized and turned on/off at will), but because of even its basic methods of doing so, being based on the actual text of the message. e.g., if I get a text that starts out with the text "Fwd...", I could set a rule in CF that would automaGically respond to it, simply saying "auto-reply to SMS beginning with [text] with [text]", and because of wildcards it was sooo easy to use. I have yet to see ANYTHING able to do this (and desafortunadamente, this is of course one of the features of CF that didn't transfer over wrt compatibility). I would buy pSMS in a HEARTBEAT if this could possibly be added.

I have another possibly request (not even close to wanting it as much as the above, but still), but I think I need to trial the latest version (yeah - still haven't) because it may actually already be there Shocked...

Ya well - was worth a try I guess (or should that read "IS" worth a try...). Not that it'll matter, but I'll note that this DEFINITELY would have been a deal-breaker for me to finally buy pSMS (I mean I own SMS pager, but am actually still using the built-in stoopid nexter... with it's 21000 stored SMS database and counting...). I'm definitely very much so intrigued enough right now to try them both out now tho (TBH, this is my first time even seeing SMS Machine... I mean three powerfully separate SMS apps... how is that even possible!), and I'll see just how much I really want them. Then I'll work on working you some more... maybe a combo purchase discount or something? I don't kno; I'll see. Seriously tho, if these things are as stable and packed as they seem, you're DEFINITELY on Rob's level... speaking of which, are you still considering finishing/releasing that ringtone manager you mentioned? I mean if you combined them all into a Suntzu CallFilter killer... Shocked Shocked rolleyes4
