So I was on the t-mobile website the other day and they show a plan that is $9.99 that is an add-on for a windows mobile phone (i.e. the dash or the wing) and it says "Windows Mobile Email Only".  When I spoke with customer service and told them I had a treo and asked if that would work with my phone the girl on the phone said she wasn't sure.  She seemed pretty knowledgeable about things but said she wasn't sure if it was just a port filter or if it actually required windows mobile to work.

Has anybody tried this addon with a Treo?  I have a Treo 680 and I'd like to get email on my phone but don't need to pay for the full internet.  Thanks in advance!

Why not just get the $5.99 T-MobileWeb then? Cheaper than $9.99 and you get the email and web browsing (with proxy entered in Blazer.)

I'm not sure why, but I was under the impression that it didn't work anymore...  What kind of email capabilities do you have with t-mobile web?

I had my gmail through them. I went to the T-Mobile web site and added my email account. Then set up Versamail to get my emails (make sure your outgoing port is 25.)
Currently, I have T-Mobile Internet using Chattermail, and the Gmail is pulled using the imap settings.

I have the gsm treo 750 it is labeled att on the back, I have t-mobile as my carrier, i had internet access with the phone up until 3 weeks ago. The have since upgraded their network
and even with a gsm phone i can no longer receive internet access because the rom on phone
has become obsolete. So do your homework! The only way I am able to do e-mail is through the sms.
