CheckWWW is a set of classic network tools (Ping, Trace route, Whois, Time syncronization, Finger, Look Up, IP2Location) which works at any PalmOS based device after PalmOS 3.5. Trial version will be fully functional (except IP2Location service) even if application expired. CheckWWW can be downloaded from http://www.shuba.kiev.ua. The program size is about 30K, but after I implemented IP address to geo-location feature (public release will be available December 1, 2006) the application size will "dramatically" increase up to ~50K. But anyway I think any Treo device can find place for 50K-application. You can try it and let me know what another network features you want to see inside the CheckWWW. Any comments, suggestions, and irradiations  are welcome! |

I really like the app.. I have been using it for a month. the only thought or comment I have is to change the IT button to say GO or something else. just my 2 cents. the speed is ok for verizon wireless and runs great on my SD card. telnet would be a cool feature to add.

Thanks for your words, arcorl.
But as I said in readme - any guarantie for running CheckWWW from external memory card. Work may be unstable (especially for WHOIS service). I fix this in nearest releases.
About "It" button... hm-mmm.. may be you are right.

I knew about the readme. That is why I posted it works great on my SD card. I am using it on a 2gb Sandisk with not problems.
Hopefully you will consider adding a telnet option.
