Have anyone tried to run DisplayTimeChange with the unofficial FW 1.30? Unlocked GSM FW 1.30 update.
(cut most of the post...)
4. Network Time Update won't delay the connection like earlier.

Why is verizon so far behind on updates Don't mean to get everyone started but I had to say it

It's not that they are behind on updates, but that there version numbers are a lot different for the same update, isn't that obvious? You sure did get everyone started.

I think the latest Verizon update 1.04 has fixed this issue. I have had the network time set for a few hours now and so far Display time only lists reasonable changes. Inital time is always the same as the First and Second Change.

Speaking of the Verizon 1.04 update, I have had an inordinate amount of crashes since I installed it. It started out with a problem with the Tasks database, then the Phone app and now Docs to Go, specifically Word to Go. In each case I have had to do a hard reset and reinstall to get going again. Anyone else? Any ideas?
Thanks,
George

Back to the original question...I have a Verizon treo 650 with the latest software 1.04.
I installed the DisplayTimeChange app and noticed that the time sometimes is initially 1/1/04 00:00. It has happened a handfull of times. Will this cause a problem? Should I just set the clock manually?

I also use my treo 650 on the sprint network, I have not had any problems either and I have enable network time enabled.

I have not installed that roaming fix on my sprint phone and my battery drains very quickly. I never had that problem with my cingular phone ...

I didn't get to read through all six pages, but I read through about three, this is a question for Cingular users.. or maybe everyone in general.
When I download my pop email or receive text messages, sometimes the time received is way off, instead of 12:35 PM (the real time) it will say 4:29 AM or some weird time and throws the chronological order of my text messages way off. It's kind of confusing.
Does anyone else experience this? Would downloading the two updates fix this problem? I disabled the function that says to automatically connect to the local time, but it's still happening.
Thanks.. any input would be appreciated.

Talking of time in our treo 650, I wouldlike to bring this to your attention; EVerytime I go on chat in messaging (where you can also disable it) the time stamp of my chatmate who only live next door is different from my time. His time stamp is 5:35am while mine is 10:52 pm. Can anybody explain?

Jeff, Thanks for discovering and posting this issue. I have a 650 on verizon w/ software version 1.04 and had been experiencing a few irritating quirks with some applications. The quirks have gone away since I've DISABLED Local Network Time. Thanks again !!!!!
