While I'm very much enjoying my 'new' used treo 680 the stylus is not weighted heavy enough.  I know most people want lighter, but I like the weight of a stylus to be similar to a pen like the pilot mini pen.  It makes drawing doodles and um I mean taking handwritten notes much easier for me.

So anyone know of a heavier stylus for this model?

The problem with it is that the stylus cannot be metallic or else it will interfere with the antenna. This issue is only present in devices with an internal antenna. The way to get around this is to design the stylus on the bottom of the device like the Treo Pro, but that isn't going to help you much...

You can get pen style styli, some have a pen and a stylus in them some have just a stylus.

This kind of thing is probably your best hope if you can't cope with the inbuilt stylus.

I might try a pen stylus or just get used to the lighter weight.  I feel like I'm writing with a feather. laugh  Thanks for the info especially about the antenna issue- makes a difference!

Yup...getting cheap. Tongue

The Pro has a metal one, but it is really short (~2.75"). goofy At least I don't have to use it often... Grin

Hey I found an interesting stylus- I'd probably lose it though.  (I tend to go with the onboard so I don't lose them)

These styli can work well, some people have had issues with the pen leakings ink onto the stylus and then getting ink on to their screen.

Hmm, I've always used stylus pens until the Pro, and I've never had a problem...maybe the leaky ink was because of extreme conditions like heat or because they were low-quality aftermarkets?
