I'm constantly having problems with the HotSync on my Centro. Is there anyway to disable or delete it? My main issue is that it tries to sync on its own without being anywhere near a computer. Eventually it'll freeze and sometimes wont start up after a soft reset. I already had to change one unit due to this problem. I really like this phone and would rather not have to change it again. I'm a stay at home mom, I don't really need it to be synced with my computer.

Hey fae......

You can't delete Hotsync because it is a core app in the ROM. Users don't have access to the ROM.

Hotsync is diabled until the user enables it by tapping the Hotsync button.

Now, your problem is either software or hardware related. The multi connector at the bottom of the phone may have gotten wet, which corroded the little connectors, or it may have conductive debris on the connectors. Try cleaning the connector with a Q-Tip dampened with rubbing alcohol.

It could be software related. you will need to do a hard reset to dump any add on software you installed. After a hard reset, don't put anything on the device for a few days to see if the problem is resolved.

If it still wants to auto sync after you did the above, you have a internal hardware problem and you will need to exchange the device for another.
