With so many new smartphones that does more, or do it better and more efficiently, are you likely to change or do you still love your Centro? What keeps you loyal to your Centro? For me, I have invested quite a bit in software over the years and although I don't use most of the apps anymore, I am very comfortable with a few that I don't want to be without. Agendus Pro, Ultrasoft Money and Butler, and my most recent, PDANet to name a few. In a few months, I am eligible for an upgrade with AT&T. I'm not sure if I will leave Palm, but I'm curious to know what keeps you here. Share with us, what your Centro does for you. How do you get the most out of your device in regards to business, personal to social networking.
**disclaimer** not sure if this is the correct location for this thread...sorry**

For me, I'm in for as long as I can be, until maybe I see the Pixie. The Pre is for teens who want to socially network ad infinitum, it sure isn't built for biz apps....
As to the rest of it, it's a process of elimination: WinMobHel, Crackberry, or another wireless provider (I'm a loyal VZW guy). So that keeps me with the Centro. It works, it's slick and smooth, it works for biz, etc. etc. Haven't seen anything that beats it yet, on VZW anyway. The iphone is getting there if you're an AT&T person, my wife has an itouch now, and I'm even getting ok with their keyboard.

My Centro is the best phone I've ever had but its also my first smartphone. I never thought I needed a smartphone before and now I know I'll never go without one so that definetely speaks well of the Centro. That said I am definetly checking my options but as the previous poster said with Verizon the options are limited unless you want to go Blackberry.

I have to say that if I could upgrade my 755p, I would've already done it. Unfortunately, Verizon won't activate my Sprint Treo Pro, and there's nothing interesting from Verizon, so I'm stuck with two devices.
Palm OS was great and all, but it's ancient and Windows Mobile is just better....

Well I love my centro because, hmmmm its red, has everything I need on it and its red. I really don't know what else I would need. I have to have a touch screen, memory expansion, ease of use, cool apps, cool skins and device selection black is just not for me. Plus I am so comfortable with it right now . I will have this device till it dies even though I am eligible for an early upgrade. Also its red and oh did I mention its red. Yeah I love my centro mostly because its red and its smart.

If Sprint would let me activate a Pre on my current plan I would probably think about changing. But for those with older (read cheaper) plans, changin isn't an option as long as the device still works.

I'm waiting for 3 things before I consider the Pre: 1) Eligibility for a new phone 2) MotionApps to finish the Classic app, so that I can get the apps I can't live without on the Pre (I hear they just figured out a way to Hotsync). 3) Some useful apps to start appearing - SDK is now available. Once this all happens, I think us happy Centro users will be even happier on the Pre.

I have the pink one from sprint! its so much easier to use! it maybe ancient to others because they are use to using the "new" phones. I tried the bb, for about 4 months. >:(I HATED IT! I complained about 2weeks of having that phone. Its not user friendly and its not touch screen (i'm with sprint). I love this centro becuase its just "what the dr ordered" I will not use and web os or the pre, i will stick to this centro!

The only thing that I don't like about the Centro is not being able to open more than one app at a time. It's not that big of a deal but it would be nice. I'll wait for the next generation Pre and look at getting that. Remember, never buy the first version on ANYTHING!

No, I don't. I bought this in India and within 14 months, the red button for switching off the phone has cracked and the phone is difficult to use now. It also hangs quite a bit and soft resets don't help always. The phone is otherwise useful, but if I have to replace it in 14 months-having purchased it for a huge price, it is a clear no-no in future. Palm's guys here want me to shell out $169 for a refurbished phone as a replacement with 90 days warranty. It's a fleece!!!

Sorry to hear that Srijay...
I love mine even more now! Discovered PDAnet for tethering to my wife's netbook when we travel, and woohoo, real internet on the road instead of the stupid Blazer, what a joke that is.

Humm, I am an iPhone 3G owner for 6 months and I think it is a stylish piece of art in communication (I'm an Appleholic). But I also bought a Centro a month ago (PalmOSholic too, you know). And now I am sure it is the smartest and fastest smartphone on the market. Besides my medical soft I use the last versions of 2Day (registered) and Takephone (trial right now) along with Powerhero. Centro is just an amazing phone for me with all these! My big problem is that I love both of them and none of them can replace the other one (Centro/iPhone 3G).

Stylish piece of art? Me thinks you are guilty of hyperbole.
