Recently, we've had a couple guys come back to the 755p or 700p from the Centro...here's a quick breakdown:

Pro
  • Smaller form factor
  • More stable firmware (as claimed by some, I personally doubt a difference though)

Con
  • Smaller battery
  • Smaller LCD
  • Smaller keyboard
  • Lower build quality (made in Taiwan vs. made in China)

The Centro is an entry-level smartphone and was designed attract new customers. Most people with a Treo wouldn't consider the Centro to be a true replacement.

I have had bunches of Treos in the past and hesitated moving to the Centro. I had all ready given the wife a red one. When I did make the move from the 700P to the Centro (black) I was really pleased with it. The keypad took a bit to get use to; however, everything else for me was a plus.

I don't feel like typing all the details for the 4th time, but I'll tell you I just switched from the Centro to the 755p and I'll never use a Centro again.

You can always go to your carrier store & play with the display Centro for a while & see if you think it's to your liking.  I shoulda said that in the first place- it's really all up to you & your personal standards.

(Does an aside...Deja vu!)

Hmmmm, yes I say everyone with a 755p load up in the Bug (BeBe) so you can all take turns on the display Centro...because none of you are touching mine!  Roll Eyes

I went from the 755 to a Centro and I was pleased.  I guess that depends on everyones experience but I only have good things to say about the Centro.  It is much smaller than my 755 and it takes getting use to but I have had problems with my 755.  Had it replace twice.  The Centro seems stable.   Haven't had much problems with the last 755 I replaced but I switch anyway.  Now I have my 755 still in the box as a back-up in case I lose or damage my Centro I had my Centro for almost a year till I switch. but then I decided a few weeks ago to switch to the Pre and I am much satisfied.  Its the best Palm I have owned yet, and I've been a big Palm user since the 600.  Some of my friends stayed with the 755 and some with the 800 because they wanted bigger buttons since they have big hands.  So you're just going to have to look at the Pro's and Con's.  Either way, they are good phones.  Decisions! Decisions!  Don't you hate that?   Grin

I have DECIDED to hold on to my Centro II and let the "Ballers" (meaning those with money to waste...I means spend  Grin) of MTDN do the "dirty work" of working out all of the bugs...  Roll Eyes
