Can't install ANYTHING on my 700wx

In particular, I am trying to install Opera Mini on my Treo.  After downloading the file, I find it via explorer, but when I click on it, I get:
"there is no application associated with "min", Run the application first, then open from with the application"

How do I 'run' an app before installation.

If other posts, I have noticed many references to jbed or VM's for using java script on this device.  However, I get the same error message after downloading those apps for installation.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Try Opera Mobile instead of Opera Mini.

also I'm 90% sure you are downloading zip files or exe files.  these files MUST be downloaded to your computer and unpacked. it is the contents of these packages that run on the phone (note some exes will run on your phone but i'll let the winmos tell you about that)

Usually if it is an EXE, it is a desktop setup. It will install the program during the next sync.

With mini...you MUST install both a .jad & .jar file. You can find them here or at xda-developers.com. Its a great program & much fast than Opera Mobile. If you're looking for a fast proxy browser, you should also try Skyfire. It's the best & fastest on the market so far, (& its free).
