I would, but my pup chewed up my screen 2 days ago so it isn't calibrated anymore. I'm afraid to try to re-calibrate it since it would throw off my already-saved macros haha. Guess I could backup/restore for testing... we'll see if I find the time :-)

I am striking out here.  Tried RNS SoftReset to launch CardInfo and CardKeeper without success.  The only thing that works on my Centro is to manually launch CardKeeper and check the boxes. The good news is that this works every time.  Leaving the boxes checked all the time does nothing by the way.  Any other suggestions are welcome.

Well if it does indeed work everytime for you, then I guess it's worth a try, tho it's still not gonna be a "most-efficient" way of fixing the problem (but those of course aren't always necessary). The OS problem has to do with loading the preferences (which automaGically load before apps and DBs, so the forcing an app to load suggestion I gave earlier pretty much wasn't the best idea from the start - my fault); so especially when there are any rogue prefs, it could be unnecessary impedance. You might be able to fix the problem with nothing but a hard reset and fresh install (if you feel like putting the time in for it) - n e time I would have the dreaded card-loading problem, that's what I'd do to fix it.

Again tho, it's basically up to what you feel like dealing with (the long reset scenario and "patch" with Apt & CardKeeper or the possibly-long process of a fresh install that ultimately might not be enough, depending on how many apps you have loading prefs). I mean there's always the "CleanStart" option too (which can control what apps load their prefs at startup) and even using it with Apt to force a delayed load after startup... but I personally do NOT recommend CleanStart - ever.

Yeah Cleanstart has given me headaches everytime I've messed with it.

I'll try again on the Apt macro soon. I'll try pentaps and see if that works. The best solution might be the hard reset and fresh install Dickie suggested. (Of course I said that about his last suggestion) Honestly though I do a hard reset fresh install anytime my device slows down or gives me problems and I can't pin it down to one app or file. Its a good excuse to cleanout the stuff you don't use much too.

Still understand if you'd rather not do that. I'll try Apt again soon but I've never had much luck getting Apt to anything more after reset than just launching an app.

I did do a hard reset and reinstall with the same result. Could not figure out if there was any one app causing the problem. I guess if I cannot find a way to get Apt to do what I need, I will look at getting rid of some less used apps and see if that will help.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

Justo make sure of course, when you did your hard reset, you did a fresh installation of everything (as opposed to a full reinstallation from backup, which of course would put all the same prefs right back in), right? You could always do the dirty way - full backup, delete the saved prefs DB directly, and see if it loads the firstime, and then after re-setting the app prefs (tho depending on what is installed, you'd likely run into a few loops). Or you could get just half-dirty and go through and manually delete prefs that you think don't belong (or use CleanUp to help), and see if it helps. But yeah - n e thing is gonna be a good bit dirty (especially using Apt to auto-load and check/uncheck CardKeeper, as it would have to include a few timer delays and correctable action sequences), but something will work

EDIT:Dickie got there before I did. Just read his post.

Whoa whoa. Dickie meant fresh install. As in hunting down downloads of all your apps and installing them fresh. Time consuming yes since you'll have to reregister them all. (Make sure to right down all your reg codes) I'm assuming you just did a reset and reinstall from backup.. Sorry if I'm wrong.

Can somebody please explain to me, how to use the "+form"-command (after form loaded)? I cantīt find any information about this command and it is not obvious to me. As far as I can see, I should name the form that has to be loaded, but I canīt find where to put the Form-Number. If i put it in the "Argument"-Field, nothing happens after the Form has loaded and I canīt see where to put the number otherwise.

Thank you

Yeah someone said earlier in the thread they couldn't get +form to work. You correctly assumed you are supposed to put the number right before +form (in the arguement column) so I guess +forrm is just part of Apt that doesn't work. -Form will work though so maybe you could go that route for what you want to do.

Thank you for that hint. I obviously missed that posting, although I read through the whole thread.

Again Thanks

It was a small couple of lines in posts about other things. Easy to miss. I knew the info was there and it took me a while to find it.
