Actually, it works pretty well if you want a speedy minimal data usage browser...it just depends on whether you want fast and basic or not.
Hey..... Oh, Otay. When I used it, a long long time ago, prolly before you were born Robin, it did not work so good Anyway, I am a data hog and the more unlimited data I can suck outa Sprint on two phones, the better I like it No minimal data sessions for me I WANT DATA..... Chuck

I have heard a lot of bad things about Xiino so I've never been encouraged to try it. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised at how well it works. I'll be using this alongside Blazer and Operamini for a while. I have all my Chatter links set up to launch through Xiino. No hiccups thus far.

It gets even better in conjunction with FontSmoother to rerender the fonts.

I just installed Xinno. But, when I launch it, it freezes up the Treo. I should state that I did not choose it as my default web browser. Any thoughts?

Thanks Danilo! You made me believe in browsing on Palm OS again. I'm using a Treo 650, and I was getting sick of not being able to download practically any files with Blazer, due to limited memory issues. With Xiino I can now download anything. Cheers

I was delighted to see this. As a recent "come-back-er" (is that a word?) to the Treo family, one of my 1st thoughts was--got to install Xiino.
Luckily I found in my GMail where I had emailed the registration code to myself (mine was 78900-310000-70000, I think it's the same as what's noted in here). I also still had the original Xiino.prc file (I mirror-imaged the contents of my SD card to my desktop's D hard drive.) I simply copied the PRC file using FileZ, entered the code in the registration information--and I was golden. I agree--since the software isn't offered by the seller anymore, it's not as if supplying the code for installation is cheating anybody.
Yes, it is a good browser for certain things. It is far more limited than, say, Opera Mini--can't bid on items on eBay, or pay with PayPal, or login to almost anything (say, online banking), and lots of "full" sites are rendered sloppy. But for "minimalist" sites, it works great.
My main usage of it--for browsing Craigslist and contacting sellers regarding items for sale. Unlike Opera Mini, I can easily highlight and copy-paste elements from the page into the Memos (then from Memos to VersaMail) so I can save what's needed for contacting the seller and pasting the relevant information (URL in particular) into the email. When I go back & forth between Xiino and Memos to copy-paste the information, it recalls where it was without having to reload the site over again, and browsing history is retained, too.
Great sticky-post for us Treo users.

Oh? I don't/can't access the internet from my 755p (after Verizon replaced it with a refurb and my dial-up stopped working ), so I can't test it. It shouldn't stop working though...unless the developer wasn't smart and had the app go through something before accessing the internet...
