Hi. I have been using xiino for quite a few years, and for me it is really the best browser for the palm family. It can manage cookies, it is fast and quite stable (i had just few crashes during all this time). The developer spent much time testing it, and thought is is not supported any more you can see the amount of work done to make it stable and fast. Developed by Kazuho Oku from mobirus, the website does not exist any more and Kazuho now works here ( http://labs.cybozu.co.jp/en/kazuho.html). Since i believe this browser is really a gem, and you cannot purchase licences anymore, i have tried to contact the author many times but with no responses. After a while, i have decided to post here a version Hi-Res (nicer icons, slightly better look) for you to enjoy it. I do have a valid licence that, if the Admin here agrees, i can share it with you. The licence is not connected with any hotsync id, though you have to provide one during the registration process. Here is the xiino hires version: http://rapidshare.com/files/158380378/Xiino.zipHope you will enjoy it. Danilo

Xiino is a good browser (I used it for a while too), and it's main advantage is speed. It's much faster than Blazer, but it doesn't render pages as nicely. Because of the circumstances, feel free to post the key. I will discuss the legality of it with our other admins and see what they think. But you have my approval to do so in the meantime. PS. Xiino can also be downloaded from our downloads section without having to use Crappyshare. http://mytreo.net/downloads/xiino,256.html

The version i have is named Hi-res, with a slightly better interface. It was the very last version sent from the developer. I can send it to this forum, if needed (the one in the mytreo link is the normal one, that's why the fileshare link). The licence code is: "78900-310000-70000".

Ah thanks. I now tried it but it appears that it has problems with all the mobile sites I've tried so far: wapedia.mobi, m.twitter.com, m.facebook.com, or mobile.nytimes.com. It always comes up with an error message that it cannot handle UTF-8 type encoding. Strangely it handles the full sites. To me it's less useful if it cannot handle the mobile version of interesting sites. Cheers.

URL coding, it's a fairly new format & I believe Xiino hasn't been touched in 6-7 years. Probably just rejects the address cause it doesn't recognize that part? Edit: Robin, did you sticky this??

Well.. it is right that xiino hasn't been touched for several year, and this utf-8 problem was one of the urgent things the developer was trying to fix before the project was abandoned.. sorry if i didn't mention that. As for this websites, i maily use their "palm client" counterpart (facebook, twitter and genius for searches), so this problem never bothered me. Btw, what is when we "sticky" this post?

sticky-ing refers to making the topic stay at the top of the thread (instead of rolling down the list as newer posts come in, I think.

Hey.... Why sticky this thread based on an old, worn out, abandoned web browser, that didn't work all that well anyway? And with the OP offering a free reg key? It does not compute Chuck

Actually, it works pretty well if you want a speedy minimal data usage browser...it just depends on whether you want fast and basic or not.
