I'm a TREO girl, in a TREO world.

Follow the usual ROM update precautions. This is good for 755's with ROMs older than 1.08. Palm is nebulous on what this does.

Nebulous huh?

Anyone on Verizon try it yet? Supposed it updates the programs to the same versions as on the sprint 1.07 update?

Who's been brave enough? ;-)

I've just finished installing it. It's getting late right now, so I will finish restoring my data tomorrow and report back.

So far, this seems to be similar to the Sprint 1.08 update with the same version updates. Google Maps is still at 1.1.2, which doesn't surprise me. The DTMF "error tone" is still present (let's say you hit an invalid key at the launcher screen, even with the phone on silent, it will emit a tone through the headpiece speaker). Things also seem to be a bit snappier than usual, so that's a good thing.

The only thing that I've had problems with is SkinUI. The big buttons during a call weren't being skinned, and a bunch of soft resets fixed that.

Performance-wise, it's about the same. I haven't been having problems with it, so there's not much more that I could ask for.

I think this is new, not sure. If you press Menu in the Bluetooth app, you'll see an item called Bluetooth Audio. I only have a mono Bluetooth headset, so I can't test that out.

I don't see such a menu here. Sad

I heard people in the Sprint 1.08 update thread say that the menu randomly appears.

It does the same thing on the Verizon firmware. It showed up yesterday, but no matter what I do, I can't get it to show up again.

ah the hidden bluetooth audio. I kinda got it to work one time after a hard reset on my Sprint Treo700p with the 755p update. Heres what it looks like. Sometimes its there and other it disappears.

Google Maps isn't in the ROM, is it? I updated mine at the Google site, and the version on my Treo is 2.0.2.0, but it was before the ROM upgrade, also.

I haven't noticed any difference in any of the operations of the phone.
