See faces in Initiate

So that I remember: I loaded the last stable I8 over the beta and used it for days. Then couldn't remember if 3.55 was the last beta I tried or not so I reloaded it. the program did NOT try to resort contacts so I could use them in beta 3.55 but no pictures were visable. then I manually sorted and the phone reset and I could not use 3.55 again. So back to the stable version that won't power off while in initiate (though it powers off fine in other programs)

what did I8 say after you launched again? (It should tell you what it was doing, and if it was processing contacts, which contact'

did you try deleting all contacts to confirm that was the issue?

did the scan work in safe mode?

-I really can't do anything with a 'this doesn't work on my device'

Sorry again, I fequently post  from my phone (as now) and  late at night and make multiple (sloppy)assumptions.

 Error messages are same as reported above thus I did not repeat them. same "line 5346 underchunk crash" , same "crash while scanning contacts" from the Initiate screen but it does not tell me which contact.

My surprise was that if Initiate did not scan and crash then I could see and use my contacts though, in the list view, could not see pictures attached.

I just tried deleteing contacts and redownloading 3.55 but, oops, its not up. i'll put them back and wait.

Ouch!  Don't be a Vetdoctor! Post what version of Initiate you're using, what you are doing, what you expect to happen, what did happen, what error messages you get and your favorite color.

I try to follow all the threads, so I'm generally not able to remember the details from previous posts as well as you will be.

the reason it worked to start with is that the launch list from the previous version was still there. When you updated the list that got deleted and I8 started re-building. As it doesn't finish the rebuild, it always wants to rebuild.

Its now official release so its no longer in the beta section.  Look directly at the Initiate Pro section.

So did I read correctly in one of the previous posts that this isn't an option for the treo 650 and will not be supported?  If that's true I would mention that in the docs.  Also, maybe if we can't see faces as icons it would be nice if we could see them when we go to the contact subscreen.

Treo 755p, Sprint w/Initiate 3.55
Downloaded and looked at Initiate and it seemedfine. I ran "update list" and the phone reset. At the end of the reset the phone stopped at the phone screen and I had to manually find Initiate  (I expected to have the "You had a reset"screen from Intitate up).

ON opening initiate the first screen says, "It looks like there was a problem builing the lauch list. The problem was in....Contacts...Please check there for corruption...."

2nd Screen says, "Last recorded activity was "Background Contacts refresh. Please contact...."

Reset Doc Crash log: MmeoryMgr.c,  Line 5346, Chunk underlocked"

Delete contacts and "Update list" In initiate just fine.
Add 1 contact. "Update list works" Add picture to contact. It works.
Run DBfixit and "No Errrors found in standard PIM's"

As time permits I can randomly delete contacts to look for "the" issue. Also my life is not so secretive that I can't email you the ContactsPDAdd (whatever). (Just don't tell my wife!)

Again, no particular note complaining of "a" contact.

Now though I get to see a face in my contact excpt I had to delete it to get the others back.

Treo 755p : Security to "mask" mark a contact "private" run initiate update...phone crashes. unmask and it doesn't. this is repetable. turned out this was my issue.
