« on: 27 February 2008, 21:07:34 »

obfuscate is causing loop resets. Anyone know of any other way to get rid of unwanted applications?

Assuming by "get rid of" you mean "hide" (since of course you can't "get rid of" apps in ROM without changing the actual ROM), try Applications Panel - it actually says right in the description "If you're using Obfuscate and it's causing you problems, then this is for you!"

so far, the best application I've come across for doing this is "invisible" I'd link to it but am on the mobile forum so I can't make a tab or second window.  Obs. also crashed my device and I found a lot of programs (mostly VZW rom apps) that the applications panel could not hide (i.e." Quicktour," it was a couple of month ago so I might be wrong about which one but it was definitly ROM apps).  Invisible was a little pricey for what it does but it does it well.  BackupBuddy VFS (probably other on-RAM backups too) causes apps to reappear but a jump into Invisible (or reset) fixes this.  remember to make a speed launch from the phone app if you set invisible to be invisible.

I love my Treo (most of the time)!

I haven't had any problems hiding the VZW ROM applications with my 755p and Applications Panel. I'm hiding Quicktour, My Treo, Camera, Card Info, Destaller, Downloads, Hotsync, Sounds, tryda, Voice Memo, Weather and Wireless Sync (some of those applications are on my SD card so I don't want to keep them in two places).
