I'm posting here because of Power Hero and Rob and Dan's expertise with battery use, etc.

I find that if I reset my phone my battery level is always higher afterwards.  I have always gotten a couple of percentage points higher (2-3) in the past, but now I'm seeing a major difference especially when the battery is low.  For example, just now I was down to 64% but after a reset it was at 76%.  Last night it was at 46% then after a reset it went up to 65%.  Does this happen to other people?  Is it time to replace my battery?  Or does the Treo just do a bad job of calculating battery power?  I've had the battery (Seidio 2100) since last June.

Right now I put in the original battery to see if the same thing happens once it goes down a bit.

This is a good question for which I don't know the answer. I haven't experienced it myself but I have seen PH log files that show the same thing - battery % sometimes fluctuates by +-10% over a short period of time. We'll see what others say...

There isn't that big a difference in battery % with the standard Treo battery.  It was at 82 and after a reset 84.  I'll do it again when the battery is around 50%, but I'm thinking that maybe my Seidio battery is beginning to run out of life.  I have noticed less battery life lately with it. Anyone know if it is typical for Seidio batteries to last less than a year?
