I noticed a couple of you mentioned Daynotez and I would appreciate any comments on how well it works on Treo 700P.

Also - Can anyone give me insights on Agendus and Datebook6?  Years ago I tried Agendus on a T3 and it crashed a lot so I deleted it and wonder is it stable?  How do these work?

I truly miss having the right hand page of my former Daytimer Binder and that part of the description of Daynotez really appeals to me, but I wonder if it works well with Treo 700P?  I've tried looking in tech support etc and I've written to the developers and they say it works.  I've also read some posts on here about how some programs that are older don't properly use the NVFS.  I want to use some additional tools, but my "Prime Directive" is to keep a Stable Treo because if it crashes a lot it's just not acceptable.

Thanks.

There's a huge thread in the Applications forum (where this thread is now located) titled "what apps work on the 700p." You might start there.

As to Agendus, I couldn't live without it on my 700p.

I have been testing a few trial/freeware versions this evening and I would pick:
(I didn't read the full thread so maybe the first tool was posted before)

* MyCallLog (freeware)
Apart from viewing the call duration it's amazing the amount of different ways you can view the information.
Thanks to the author, Pierre-Yves Tavernier, for bringing this great tool as freeware!!! (he has developed lots of apps, busyman)
They only thing to complain is the default background colors ... that was the first thing I changed.
I installed version 1.0.9

* Comet (commercial)
Apart of a fast/easy interface (and the call duration) I like the export to CSV/XML option.
I installed version 2.2.1

Thanks for the thread.

So frustrated. Having a similar problem as Willowz. Tried getting every single "call duration patch" out there to work on my (relatively) new Treo 680, all to no avail. German phonecallduration.prc. Aqua skins. Shadowmite's overlays. Nothing : (

Pushed the .prc files to SD card, moved them to Internal with FileZ with no effect. Read so many of the success stories here, it makes me bleed inside.

Phone was purchased off of eBay around May-ish; typing in the serial # at the palm website indicated that I did not need the camera battery patch, if that's a telltale sign as to how old this thing is. Think Palm actually patched the patches?

Firmware: MW01.50
Software: TREO680-1.04-ROW
CC-Cap: ROG-ROG-013

It's an unlocked Treo 680 (originally Rogers) that's on Fido/Rogers networks in Toronto, Canada (Rogers bought Fido). Can't seem to get call durations at all. I don't care about graphics, I don't care about icons... I just want to know my call durations! Anyone out there have any ideas?

Thanks,

I don't have a clue why the call duration fixes that worked for a lot of us aren't working for you, and I recognize that you don't care about a lot of other bells and whistles, but I can highly recommend TAKEphONE 7.0 (for the latest beta, see Star Developers/ShSh Software here at MTDN).  It will give you call duration in the call log details.  There's also a ton of other wonderful functionality in that app that I find I can't live without (even though I realize that's not what you're necessarily looking for).

Sigh. Not too-strangely-enough, that's the same thinking I have. Using the new, unintuitive Treo 680 phone application is just... irritating after the speed/efficiency/capabilities of that found on the Treo 650. I find that I don't use any of the extended features enough to warrant the upgrade; I should have stuck with my 650.

I do appreciate the recommendation though, and will definitely look into it. Thanks Christie!

PhoneAQUA+_INT adds the call log and changes the buttons.. delete it .. and there is no call duration.. add it, and there is.. . I've had PhoneAQUA+_INT for so long, .. it never crossed my mind that it added the call duration to the treo700p.

my 2 cents.. a year later.
