I prefer the 680 display since you can choose your default view. I have mine default to the Favorites since that's typically where I make my calls from.

I agree with garnet. With the 680's you can choose yor view. I use the main view, and we have to remember that when you dial from this view it automatically changes to the dial screen...

I'm just trying to figure out what Palm was thinking by using that dialer in the GSM Centro, rather than the traditional screen that's in every other Treo.

But is it palm's or at&t's choice???  Wink idea

The truth is that the "New" phone application on the 680 was never developed for CDMA products. The Centro on GSM leveraged the new phone app, while the CDMA version used the older one like its predecessor. One enhancement in the CDMA app to note is that the favorites buttons (hold down the key) will work from almost anywhere, not just in the phone app. You can speed dial from Versamail for instance. I actually prefer that.
