I have a 700p. I'd love to be able to sync on the web calendar programs directly with the Treo without going through an intermediary like outlook.

i don't know if this will work on the 700p. i have a 755p but i use goosync to sync my phone calendar with my google calendar. there is a free version. oh and it doesn't auto sync just yet. you have to run the program any time you want to sync anything.

I used to be able to get my Yachoo! calendar in synch with my old 180.
It might have been through a tiny extension app I got from Yachoo! themselves. That app either bypassed Palm Desktop entirely or used Palm Desktop as a middle-man, of sorts.
It got messy pretty quick, though. I somehow ended up with duplicate entries on Yachoo!, but then deleting the dupes there also deleted the originals on the Palm The next time I synched.
But again, this was a while ago.

I use goosync as well. If you use categories I would suggest you use the pay for upgrade. I actually have a calendar my wife and sync together for planning. She uses a KRZR and I have a catagory for that calendar. It has been working really well.

Do you guys using goosync have problems with exceptions to repeating events? If I create a repeating event on my Treo (let's say, for example, a meeting from 10-11 that repeats every Monday for 4 weeks), and then sync to google, and then delete Monday #2 on my Treo, and move Monday #3 to 12-1 on my Treo, and then sync again to google, I end up with Monday #2 reappearing on my Treo, and with two copies of Monday #3 on my Treo (one from 10-11 and one from 11-12). Anyone else have this problem? Goosync support claims to be working on it, but I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone else complain of it. BTW, if I enter the exceptions on google, then it syncs fine to the Treo.

I do get doubles on most exceptions but just on the google side. I trust it will be fixed. there were problems with repeating events in general months ago.

Been using GOosync for some time now. I have mulitple issues...but the power to sync my Google calendar far out wieghs it.
Issues I have experianced:
1. Repeated events (already noted)
2. Multi-Day events input first on Google don't always sync to the Treo. I haven't had an issue with the reverse (first put in the Treo then sync'd up to Google).
3. Using the personal/business tabs don't sync and sometimes cause issues.
4. If you have to a complete overwrite of your calendar you may have some significant problems with multiple events....ie i had to reset teh Treo and resynced the calendar. Between the Desktop and Google I had old events come back like a virus.
5. If you move event by drag and click on google they don't always sync...more times not.
But seriously I really like it.

I have a 700p. I'd love to be able to sync on the web calendar programs directly with the Treo without going through an intermediary like outlook. You might also want to look at GCalSync: gcalsync.com/ It may not be the prettiest app I've ever seen but it works without issue and is Open Source.

Can GooSync work in conjunction with Business calendar sync? I need both my business events and personal events (that me and my wife share) in my Palm. Bottom line, I will be be doing the regular Outlook sync for business event and Possibly GooSync for personal events. Has anybody tried this?
