Hi,

I've been using, and loving, Chatter e-mail with my 700p for the last several months without any problems.  But yesterday morning around 7AM PST Chatter stopped connecting to my hosted Exchange account with 1on1 Internet. I can connect to this account just fine from Outlook on my desktop but Chatter just sits there are tries to connect over and over and over. It's killing my battery and expending a ton of CPU cycles (or so it seems as my 700p has become really sluggish).

I have not a) installed anything new on my Palm nor have I messed with any settings on either end of the connection. Other Internet applications seem to work - like browsing on Blazer and such.

While I don't think this is a Chatter problem as I haven't seen it in the past (nor have I experienced any other problems with Chatter at all) - I'm looking for advise. Has anyone else had this problem in the past, and if so, what did you do to resolve it?

Update - it looks like it's not Verizon's fault as I can connect just fine with VersaMail but not Chatter.  Sad  Off to the Chatter support site.

My Treo 700p had to be rebooted/restarted/soft reset at least 2 times a day. I lived with it thinking it was just my phone. Turns out (according to Verizon) that Chattermail is not compatible with the 700p. Any thoughts?

The Verizon rep you spoke with is obviously clueless. Of course chatter is 100% compatible.

Yeah, I just got a note back from the Chattermail people (person?) and he (she?) said that it is compatible. It always amazes what phone reps will say to get the current problem solved.
