Ringo Pro has previously worked flawlessly on my Treo 755p. Now, when someone calls, the ringtone stutters for a few seconds and then plays normally. Does anyone have any clue what is wrong?

What mp3 player do you use with it and have you update it? Sometimes if you use a pTunes that isn't in rom it'll skip.

I am using pTunes version 4.0.7 deluxe. It is in ROM.

no it's in the RAM not the rom

the 755 comes with pTunes basic 3.09 on the ROM

I'm using pTunes not run from an SD card. Should I be using the older version of pTunes?

It may help with the stuttering problem. Copy the newer version to a card and then uninstall and see if that helps.
If it does you'll have to choose if you want to use the new version and put up with the stuttering.
If it doesn't help copy the new version back to your device. No reason not to use it if it isn't the problem.

A lot of us reverted to 4.0.5 as the best functioning 4.x deluxe version with least stuttering; so if the problem is pTunes and not Ringo, that might help - search around here for links to it if you can't find it
