I need to amend the comment about Checklist
Checklist The one that is put out by paper trail software not the one listed as checklist pro. The difference? I don't know except the paper trail registration costs 9usd less. You can also add pictures to your checklists!
Pictures, SWEET! Speaking of sweet, have you started on that Raspberry Cheesecake yet?!?!?!?!? Cheesecake YUMMY! (just totally regressed ha)

Another favorite from my archives- that I'm going to start using again now that I have a reliable unit again is
Before You Know It- a great flashcard tool for language learning or other subjects.

I'm trialing PDANet right now and have to say I'm impressed. Its probably listed elsewhere in this thread so I'm repeating but easy internet on my new laptop for a one time fee of $34. That's nice.

How does the speed compare to your average high-speed connection? I'm in an all-EVDO location, so signal's not a factor for me. I'm thinking about fonally setting up the wife's PC & we don't have a wireless reciever for her's, so I was considering this as an option instead.

I just started with it today so I don't have an actual speed reading on it yet but so far I'll say I wouldn't want to download any really large files over it but for everyday surfing or even downloading songs its good. One year old review I read of it before trying it said two to three minutes per song but so far it seems faster than that.
What has really impressed me so far was the ease of setup. Download the windows file. Run the installer. Hot sync. Then push connect on the phone and your connected that quick and easy.

I'll def check it out. Sounds easier & cheaper than getting another wireless reciever. Can you still receive sms/calls/etc. while connected?

More concrete answer about speed. I've been getting between 20 and 40 kbs with three to four bars and evdo. Averaging 30 to 35.
SMS yes. Calls cause it to disconnect though I suspect there is a solution for this. Maybe one of the bunches of profiling applications that are out there.
I hope it continues being a good program. I got a nag screen warning me that the trial was about up and I should buy it while I still had an internet connection. So I did. I have no idea how long the trial would've lasted but everything I've heard and read about the program has been good.

Okay cool. As long as it doesn't completely disable incoming calls, I think I'll probably go that route. No worrying with weak WiFi signals that way

I'm not sure there is a solution, at least on CDMA phones like Verizon and Sprint. You are using the phones internet connection and Palm OS is incapable of multi-tasking. So you either get the call or the internet but not both at the same time (since the Palm OS is still responsible for running the radio on the phone). Its basically the same reason why GSM Palm Centros run EDGE instead of 3G. The GSM protocols for 3G require the ability to handle voice and data at the same time and since Palm OS can't, GSM Centros have to be 2G (EDGE). There might be a setting or way of creating an auto-reconnect though.

Is that a PDAnet setting or a phone setting? I remeber a phone setting but then that would be a global setting that would also affect Blazer use. Unless there is something Paul or Fstop could think of in Apt that would change that setting for PDAnet use only?

I'm not that worried about guys. I don't mind it interrupting for phonecalls. But yes the solutions I was thinking of invovled either Apt or a profile application or both.

Yea, you could use one of many apps to send the call directly to voicemail. But there's definitely no way to be on the phone and continue to get your internet signal, it's a 3G thing, as deibelsan said.
PalmOS actually is capable, however. During a phone call you can launch any app you want as long as it doesn't require data usage. Once 4G launches later this summer on Sprint that shouldn't be a problem at all, unless, of course, the in-call/data denial is hard-coded into the OS as opposed to a general Sprint data denial. Not sure which.. but wouldn't be surprised it's in the OS :-/
..in which case I'd bet we're SOL, I can't imagine any PalmOS device getting any more software updates. :-(
