I think it's the aqua skins. They include a hack to include call duration. I'm trying some things here

That's it. Installed International Aqua overlay and now I have the duration back It's obviously there but hidden, as the info is there for all my calls. Unfortunately, I am still left with the lame new phone interface (The new file I have in RAM now is PhoneAQUA+_INT)

OMG, that was it for me, also! I deleted PhoneAQUA+TMO (which I had used on my 650 & tried to install clean on my 680, but it didn't do anything) after I installed FileZ. I didn't make the connection until now. That's amazing!

I just restored PhoneAQUA+TMO from Resco Backup and the call details are back in the original phone call log. Would never have guessed that one, since it didn't seem like that application did anything at all.

Worked for me, too. I had never used Aqua Skin before but downloaded it based on this thread and Presto! I have call duration.
Does anyone know what ELSE this file does?!? It doesn't seem to actually modify the dial pad in any way.....just wondering.
Now...if we could just get some LED control!

It contains a keyboard overlay (which is ignored) and a call duration hack (which isn't ignored). There's a cleaner solution if someone would code it... a standalone call duration overlay hack.

Just install the PRC. There's no app to run and you won't see it in the normal Home screen. You'll need to use Filez or similar to see it...but even if you don't it'll be there running.

My call details showed immediately after installing the AQUA skin with no soft reset.

Same for me on a Sprint 700p, but I also lost the 'Add Contact' button. That's more useful to me than call duration. I use MinutesPlus to see my totals and projected use. I moved the skin to my SD card with FileZ, immediately restoring the original.

I would like to restore the call duration detail to my log and am trying to follow this thread. Could one of you guys kindly summarize the protocol? Exactly which aqua prc needs to be installed? Or does it depend on your carrier? 600 or 650 version? Thanks!

I'm not quite sure if it matters whether you use the one for your carrier, or just any one will do. Take a look here http://discussion.treocentral.com/tcforum/showpost.php?p=330213&postcount=107 for a file compatible with your carrier and if you don't find it, maybe just try the INT version. you just download the prc file and install like any other palm app. It will be completely hidden unless you have a program like FileZ that will let you see it.
