It disappeared on the 700p too. Thank goodness for Agendus!

I have been using Natara's Comet for the desktop for about four years and it works well. They now have a POS client that does really well. The site is http://www.natara.com/Comet/index.cfm and of course there is also TakePhone. Ben

I installed the new beta version of TAKEphONE yesterday and it works beautifully on my T680 -- lots of functionality, lots of pretty dialpad skin choices, and it reinstates all of the detail on the call log, including duration of the call.

Are you serious? They actually removed the call duration details? I should not have to rely on 3rd-party software for functions that the most basic cell phones have. This is pathetic. I have yet to pick up my 680.
Part of the reason why so many people had stability problems with the 650 is the reliance on 3rd-party applications to perform functions that should have been built-in.

Call duration has not been removed...in the call log, you simply go to the option screen, and select, "Detail". It's still there people, calm down.

IT IS NOT THERE. I CHECKED ON MY 680 AND IT IS GONE. So who would have interest to remove such a useful information? I guess cell phone providers. If you know how long are your phone calls you can easily add up and you know how many minutes you have remaining or you have already lost from your monthly plan...then you will be carefull with your phone calls and therefore not go over your plan and pay $ 0.40 per minute. I am wondering when they will get rid off functions such as #646# for T-Mob that will tell you exactly how many minutes you have used. Just a little conspiracy theory..

I have been trying out Your Call and Comet and am not sure which to go with. I like features of both. I love the way Your Call pops up after each phone call and integrates with Agendus Premium, for which I also use. On the other hand, Contact has the neat desktop application and it integrates well with dayNotez, for which I also use a lot. Comet can also give me a complete log of calls and I can set it so that it can even keep track of my peak minutes and free minutes. It's really cool. Both programs will give the call duration on each call, but with Comet you also have a record of all calls for an entire period of time, calls can be sorted by name, or category. Might be a bit over kill for personal calls, but it is definately a must have for those business calls. Your call is a great tool for scheduling somethng immediately after a call and also to keep notes n teh call with.
Just at a loss whichone to go with at this point. Few days left on the Your Call trial and still have a few weeks on teh Comet trial.

If you're already using Agendus, you shouldn't need anything else if all you want is the call log. You can go into contacts within Agendus and it will show you every call you've ever made (as well as every meeting you've had) to/from that person and the length of the conversation.

Alli I am aware of that, however, the two programs that I mentioned are replacements for the call log of the phone application. They will record each and every call made or received, not just the ones tied to an Agendus contact. Your Call will also ask you if you want to add the caller to the contacts, or if you want to do a number of other things. It pops up when your call is done, so it prompts you at that moment to take action.

Umm...yes, I am aware of that, especially since I did the front page review of YourCall. But we were only discussing the call log, so without adding in additional features, you don't need an additional program if you already own Agendus. If you want the additional features offered by YourCall or the other program mentioned, by all means spend the money. But if you only want the call log and you already have Agendus, it's unnecessary.
