I was THRILLED to have found Attention Grabber for my brand new Centro.  However, it seems to have some kind of bug.  On every 3rd text message, my phone shuts off and restarts.

How can I UNINSTALL this thing?  Or does someone know how to fix this problem?  If I disable the application, everything seems to be OK.  (except I'm not notified of messages).

Thanks in advance!

I'm assuming you have version 3.2? I was an idiot & told the mods to update the download cause they still had 2.2... & I re-corrected myself after finding the bug, but apparently none of the mods have noticed..

Anyway, 2.2 is WAY stable, if you PM me your email address I'll send it right to you.

According to the "about" in Butler, I have version 5.15.  Now I'm REALLY confused!

OK...have to figure out how to PM you!  LOL!!

Attention Grabber is a different app than Butler's Attention Grabber feature.  They generally do the same thing & happened to be named the same, but are in no way related.  Do you have both apps installed?

Sorry...I got confused during this thread.  I originally had ATTENTION GRABBER and was having a heck of a time getting it to work.  The person who wrote the program (I think) sent me an application that logs errors.
After not hearing back from him, I deleted it and installed BUTLER.  I'm having trouble with that, so this morning, I deleted it.
I'm thinking I should return this phone and get a different one that will just do what I want it to do!!  There are only 3 PDA's now with Verizon that I can get without having to buy the internet plan.  Centro, Moto Q9c and Verizon XV6900.
I don't know WHAT to do!

Well if you'd still like to try AttnGrab 2.2, send me your email address.  No bugs & it does exactly the same as the newer version.  I think it might help ease your mind a bit once you get something to work right Tongue

Don't give up on the Centro so soon, you've got a powerful little device & a lot of resources and people here to help make it do just about anything for you.

OK...will PM you my email address right now.

I really want to keep the phone, but not being alerted if I miss a call or message is unacceptable.  I don't look at my phone every minute.

Thanks and I'll let you know if I have any trouble.  You guys are WONDERFUL!!

For those that stumble upon this thread in the future:  DickieD has added both the current(3.2) and stable (2.2) versions to the .zip file in the downloads section.
