Does Lnchr permit always opening a specified category when the applications key is first pressed, if the device was off? Subsequent presses change category?

"always opening a specified category" is not done yet.

I'd post update here when the feature is available. Thanks!

That's really all I want out of an alternative launcher. I prefer something simple.

I have been trying it out and like it very much. I've been wanting something simple with a backgroud. I have been content to use the system launcher until now. Two more things would make it next to perfect:

1) I currently use LinkShare to create a shortcut to SD card applications. After launching one in TreoLauncher, the icon for the shortcut disappears until I go back to the system launcher and relaunch TreoLauncher. This also happens occasionally with new applications installed. They don't show up until switching back to the system launcher.

2) The planned category support for card applications sounds AWESOME. I can't wait!

Thanks for developing this great app! It is looking like a great value for the price and the small memory footprint!!!!

hey great stuff, I LOVE this launcher, simple yet efficient. a have some requests and 1 'bug' if you will

Mainly combine 123 and abc a bit or make it optional (Toggle Calendar In Launcher View). i use programs with f, r, and such like that, but the numbers open the files. perhaps im missing an option and dont know how to use it fully. (Toggle abc/123 function)

i LOVE the 123 view, with the calendar, however i would like Month on top, day on bottom and time to be in 12hour. i know i can toggle it to different views but never found that perfect combination. only day and time in 24hour.

and the recently used program views on the bottom is a bit choppy. sometime the icons show up blank and do not load when i click the blank area.

otherwise its great at the moment but i cant buy now. i'll watch for future updates.

Thanks for you feedback!  Santa

There is a quick toggle key to switch between 123/abc modes, the space bar. To launch an app directly in 123 mode, you may do a OP+ 1-9 number. Each 1 - 9 digit maps to an application in its relative positive, i.e. 1 - top left, 5 - middle, 7 - bottom left, etc.

There is also an option in Preferences (Default OP+ on in [123] mode) to save the OP+ keystroke.

Please let me know which program's icon is gone and so I can test it. And, please let me know which version of Treo Launcher you are using?

Thanks

oh der, there we go, i didnt poke around enough! (and probably did the n00b mistake, not reading the f-ing manual, haha)

thanks for the reply and help pointing that stuff out. are there more options for the calendar view day/month/time layout other than when you click on them?

i am using the latest from your website: 1.2

and i just went through and tested alot of my programs for the recently used icons and it seems really random. like this time around, ALL icons showed up, i had no problems. who knows.....

i think the disappearing icons problem lies within my linked programs using ZLink. it still happens randomly though nothing definitive. but the only one that is missing completely now is destaller lite. otherwise Palm File Browser disappeared once but came back, and then now destaller is completely gone (large icon and small recently used icon) so im not sure, but i believe it has to do with my linking program, ZLink.

even after a few soft resets, enable/disabling treo lnchr, destaller lite was still absent. but amazingly a few hours later i turned it on to see destaller lite magically appear. kinda odd. any ideas, horaceho?

For those icons that will disappear. Usually they will disappear like:

1. in Treo Launcher
2. start the application
3. back to Treo Launcher and the icon is gone

Usually the icon will show up again after running the System Launcher once...

that does work of course, as a temporary solution as the icons keep dissappearing. is there a permanent solution or any plans to improve in the works?
