I am enjoying the streaming audio that the 680 has as a feature. My question is, why when listening to the Kinoma (built in player) for streaming audio, are the calls i get not interrupting the play or even registering as a missed call. should i be directing the play thru another player maybe?  TIA

When Kinoma comes up automatically it's because it's the best app for the job (chances are the only thing that will stream the given media).

I'm not sure why phone calls aren't interrupting your data though. In the past, this was never a problem on GSM.

Thanks again, for sharing all this information with us!
Two questions, I could not find yet:
1. What Pocket Tunes version does come with the cd, standard or deluxe?
    (I have the deluxe version now, which I do need for transfering the downloaded and payed for wma files)
2. What about phoneing quality...do you (still) need Volume Care?

thanks and bsrds,

Nimra

From another forum, locked Cingular Treos get Pocket Tunes standard, and unlocked Palm Treos with the music package get Pocket Tunes deluxe.

...LudusP (v1.9) - Seems to work so far....
Changing the 680's long green button (Send) via Ludus P prevents either of my BT headsets (Plantronics 645 & SE HBH-660) from answering calls. Every other bt headset function works, but I'm forced to answer the call with the Treo.  Grrr...Angry

<edit>
Turns out the solution is to exclude the phone app.

For someone who only has had their 680 a week or so, having previously had the unlocked GSM 650 with Volume Care, I have not seen the need for Volume Care.  The volume is, to my old ears, as loud and distinct as the 650 with the added software.  So, good news there!

Interesting.  I find the volume a bit louder than my t650 w/o VC.  But, too me, i still need VC on my 680.  It never is loud enough (or maybe i should stop listening to loud music uhoh).

But i completely agree with the battery life.  It's horrible.  I thought everyone was just exaggerating about it.
