roustk,

Not sure if others are seeing the same behavior bur using 0.99 I updated the weather manually and the weather icon is just a white square. If I change to tomorrow it is fine, when I go back to today it is still the white square.

It is always blank for NWS Current Conditions... There is no icon on the website and TreoAlarm server is not smart enough (yet) to figure out the icon from the text description.

What about displaying a nice TreoAlarm "custom" icon?

Something is better than just a white square Wink

Seems that the current version of TreoAlarm will not sound an alarm when the system lockout has been activated.  0.98c did not have this issue.  My Treo turns on at the alarm time and stays on but the alarm does not appear or sound until I release the keyguard, input my password and release the system lockout. This, was something of a problem when the alarm did not wake me up this morning.

I also have uninstalled TreoAlarm and re-installed via hotsync and this made no difference the behavior is still there.

thanks.

One other thing I forgot to mention, the keep press to dimiss the alarm dialogue box passes thru to the screen underneath (i.e. I use the center button to press "cancel" on an alarm, the center button press is also registered by the program that the alarm came up over and if the focus was on a button that button registers the center button press too.

Can you change it so that this does not happen.

I am surprised to find out that TreoAlarm ever worked with security activated. I'll try to find a workaround for it.

Version 0.99b does work with both security lock and keyguard activated.

My sort of technology - I know how this works!

Congratulations, developer!

That is very clever, fun and useful.

Works fine for me, and Yahoo even knows where Pontefract is (in the UK!). Not many people know that!

Presumably it could be made to collect football results, news headlines or anything else if a web source for the data can be located. Could you allow the user to tell it what website to collect data from?

Roustk,
Now that .99b works with keyguard, I went ahead and registered  Smiley .   However, in the past 2 days since I did register, the Treo has reset at 5AM when the silent weather alarm went off.  The error is Crash while running TreoAlarm.  Emul68kMain.c  Line 403  illegal instruction 29EE at address 101E342E.   Undecided

The error was at 5AM exactly.

I am looking at the log files and on Apr 27, I see two requests just a minute apart (at 6:00am and 6:01am EST). The same thing happened this morning. Do you remember if you tried to do manual update right after the crash?

A slight by easily corrected problem has shown up. I have been running TreoOffOn, which I found useful to stop me leaving my Treo on overnight or forgetting to turn it on in the morning. This seemed to fight with TreoAlarm over who was resonsible for turning Wireless on/off, and between them constantly caused resets, however the times were set to mesh with the other package.

Solution was to delete TreoOffOn, and use silent alarms on your software to do the same thing!
