I've read through many of the more recent of the 43 pages on this site. I have never tried a bluetooth headset and it's all a bit overwhelming but here's what I hope to accomplish:
. comfort ("after a while I didn't notice I was wearing it") . music - I don't want stereo, I need my other ear free, but I want to be able to use it for music in one ear and not be frustrated by lack of quality (is this even possible?) . clear calls in and out - my Treo 700P is almost always on my belt so that's really the only distance required . I don't really understand about pairing but I know that if it's supposed to be connected, I want it to be connected
Does anyone have the patience to make recommendations once again. I will gladly pay for the device that gives me what I want.

Can anyone answer all of these questions? I have a 700p and would like to also know.

A lot of it is simply personal preference. The one hard fact is that there are no A2DP compliant single ear heardsets available right now. I guess manufacturers don't see the point in monaural stereo. I've never had a problem with my Sony staying paired, and it's extremely comfortable. There are probably several newer models out though.

Which Sony are you using now, Alli? The one you recently reviewed?

Yup. I can't remember the model number, but the review is in the archives.

I have the jawbone and it work fantastic with my 680 I have had several bluetooth earpieces and it works the best
I just bought a Jawbone partially on your report of good experience. Mine receives but will not call out. It works fine both ways with my wifes Samsung. Is there something I might not have set right on the unlocked 680? I hate to keep buying trial and error. Dr. Jim

Does anyone know if the Jabra BT 8010 will work with a Treo 755p ???? I like the idea of optional stereo BT cuz I use my Treo 755p for MP3 player when I go to the gym.

if it has BT, it will work. You can always return it if it doesn't work (as the worse case scenario )

I have used the Sony HBH-662 for years with my 650 and with no problems at all. Now that it will no longer hold a charge I just ordered the new HBH-PV710 with the neck strap to replace my old 662. The 662 also had the caller i.d and would pair and transfer quick with no delays.

I got a Jawbone and I love it. It is unbelievable that you can be walking along on a busy street, and light rail (slow train/bus thing) passes by, and people on the phone are asking why you are yelling! One minor downside is that the battery doesn't last long. I think it's because I am very bad at turning it off. So there are mornings when I am in a hurry and I try to use it and I have to leave it charging instead But I don't mean to make it sound like it's bad. The positives far outweigh the negatives.

Received my Sony HBH-PV710 about 4 days ago after having the HBH-662 for a few years and I have no problems with it at all I can even walk up to 10 feet away from the phone (700P) at times and still have a good connection (same as the my old Sony ericsson HBH-662). What is also amazing is that I have only charged it up once since it arrived because I figured I would let it run down completely the first time and I am on my 4th day now and it is still running strong. The only conclusion I can make is that Sony bluetooth headsets are a good match with palm products (also had it on my 650).
