this is my first week trying out Chatter mail w/push mail technology, it is great. I have AOL and could be accessed thru the IMAP server. I have look for so long for a blackberry like application && had failed until I found Chatter mail: http://www.chatteremail.com/ now I know why people love blackberries so much. I already order the extra capacity battery from Seido, since the "always-on" function that Chatter mail depletes the battery sooner. Does anybody else have Chatter mail that would like to share their experience?

I just installedChatter and so far I love it! Do I have to tweak anything to access my AOL account- at the moment it will not connect. Also can I have more than one Gmail account on Chatter. Thanks!

You can have any number of accounts in ChatterEmail. There's nothing special about AOL accounts; did you use the Wizard to create it?

I just installed it today also. I'm trying is with Outlook Web Access 2003. It actually connects to my companys Exchange server without any server or desktop installation required.
I'm trying for 30 days...and will report back the result.

The more you use ChatterEMail, the more you get from it. The company I work for makes heavy use of email to maintain contact with employees and suppliers. At the end of the day I send reports with attachments to various people via email. Many of us are notified of special assignments via email, CC'd throughout the day for normal routine functions, the list continues. Some get their email via their cell phones (and what limited access they have) and two of us get email on our Treo's. Having the only 650 though means I have PUSH mail and get my mail before anyone else does. It is great to get an email and acknowledge it immediately. It is great to complete an assignment and send it immediately.
Yesterday on my day off I was requested via email received via my Sprint Treo 650 to do a pricing project and acknowledged the assignment immediately (I was at the local Sprint dealer bugging them about the Treo 700). I designed a HanDBase database and form (about 10 minutes of work), headed to the locations I determined were appropriate to obtain the information, entered 275 records into the HanDBase database, using Bluetooth, sent the file to my laptop, opened the file with the HanDBase Desktop, exported it as an HTML file, (the company uses Excel and I use Quattro Pro, and HanDBase requires Excel to be installed if the export to Excel format is used), imported it into Quattro Pro, cleaned it up a bit, and then using the Treo 650 as a modem, sent the file as an email/Excel file attachment.
Anyway, ChatterEmail makes things great, especially its ability to sync email on the Treo to mail boxes that are off line. Blackberry email is far outclassed by ChatterEmail and Marc's fantastic support.

that is beautiful, the way you can get a "push mail" through chattermail w/o having to worry @checking every (x) amounts of minutes/hrs. Chatter mail, like I told u has made my wish come true on my Treo 650. Now I can no longer envy Blackberry users, b'cause Chatter mail could prove it self to be even better than any Blackberry out there; the reason, it runs on Palm OS.
I take my Treo 650 to my two jobs everyday && I get my emails through Chatter mail. I have configured the AOL IMAP server (pre-configured on Chattermail), which allow me to add the offline mailboxes. In addition, I added the "you got mail .wav" notification, which I copied from my PC to my Treo's SD card, so now every time I get my AOL email, I also get the authentic notification: "you got mail" only from AOL!!!!

OK I need to be clear on this. I've been using Snappermail on my 650 forever. I WANT true PUSH email but I don't want to have to go through and install anything on my office workstation. Now I'm on my 700P and loving it. Can somebody tell me unequivocally, that you CAN get POP3 PUSH EMAIL on Chattermail? Karl www.karlz.tv

NO, pop3 is not push email, imap is push email.
With pop3 you have to pull the email by having the client send a request to retrieve the email. While you can set chatter to frequently poll for new mail it is still not push email.
For true push email you mest have your email sent to an imap server and set chatter to stay synced with that email server.

I want chattermail on my 650. I have tried to install it, but have been prompted, "Your device device does not support this" I do not know why as I have Palm OS. My phone is an unlocked Cingular with T Mobile. It has versamail which I do not use & I don't know if it works. But want Chattermail. I tried putting on an SD card, but could not access it from. As I said my phone want to go to Cingular when I log on. So I have to reroute sometimes as I do not use Cingular online or as my phone's wireless provider. I'd like to eliminate it from my web browser. I do not know how. Also I want to install & use Chattermail so if anybody wants to help me with that all advice is welcome and will be appreciated. I gave the information I thought pertinent. Waiting to get chattermail....... :-)

Well, I do know that Chatter won't run from the card...outside of that I'll defer to the ones who know more than I.

Sounds like you are installing over the air from the web site. To do this, you need to install Package Installer or download the zip file on your personal computer and install it with a hotsync. http://mytreo.net/downloads/details-518.html
