Not a pointer to a thread, exactly, but a reminder to readers that search is a great way to find information:

A search for "mp3 players" best, for example:

Chatter Email--it offers push email to the treo for imap and pop3 email (www.chatteremail.com)

Volume Care--increases the volume on the treo 650 handset and offers that for other applications as well (global options with add-on)  (www.gotreosoftware.com)

Backup Man--allows you to backup your applications to your SD by schedule, after hot sync, or manually. Then, you can restore files individually or all files.  (www.bitsnbolts.com)

Ringo Pro--allows one to use mp3 ringtones on the treo from mp3s that are stored on the SD card. You can set up ringtones for individual contacts or groups by their category. (www.electricpocket.com)

filez--allows you to see all of the applications that you have stored in ROM, RAM, and your SD card on your treo.  That way, you can delete all of application without leaving parts on the application on the treo.  (www.nosleep.net)

Snapper Mail Enterprise Ed.-couldnt survive without this first and foremost.

Lightwav Pro-playing all your mp3's as ringtones as well as full screen caller I'd.

TCPMP-gotta have my movies on the go!

Pocket Tunes Deluxe-plain and simple it has an EQ and between that and Shoutcast for streaming music its a winner in my book.

Resco Backup-backs up all my data and restores it on the fly without a hitch.  everyone needs a backup app.

I could go on and on but these are all great apps.  and I use them all the time, and like Chris said they can be picked up for trial in the downloads section and purchased in the MTDN Store.  If you have a membership you can save yourself even more on the software as well as other goodies for your Treo!

Cheers, Silver

Check the Knowledge Base on how to convert dvd's to your Treo for free.  I personally use a paid program call Pocket DVD Studio.  It works great and is very easy to use.
