Can help with Sprint Questions

"must have" utility.

Well me and my treo may just be having a bad day, but my most used utility today has been this:

I'm sure you can all work out where I've been sticking it!!

Failing that, and being a little more serious - Gridlock, a superb, and simple way to keep the casual observer out of my treo

Well someone needs to get away from the 600 and to a device that doesn't have a reset button Tongue

the programs i use are:

tryDA - Best free 411 service out there. Integrates with google maps to give you precise directions and locations.

Bejeweled 2... so addicting

Call Guard - very nice app that allows you to add a vibrate when your call ends. This is perfect for anyone who has dropped calls. It also lets you convert mp3 to ringtone on your treo, though you cant customize the ringtone, it will convert the entire mp3.

Destaller - Picks up where the ZLauncher destaller stops. Better interface and allows for more advanced deleting.

Google Maps - Standard on my centro. Requires data plan, but is very smooth.

Little John Palm - Awesome Emulator. In my opinion the best. I mostly play NES and Genesis games on it, though it supports a variety of others as well.

MiniBar - Are you a bartender, or just having company over and need to put some drinks together. Did you have a drink at the bar and are dying to know whats in it? MiniBar is for you. I work in a liquor store and all the time I get people asking what is in this and that. Now I have it at my fingertips. hundreds of drinks included with ability to filter search results.

MobileDB - Originally bought for my Palm T|X, it still is very usefull for first aid databases and drink databases. You can create your own also.

NVBackup - In my opinion, the best freeware Backup utility. I backup every day just in case!

PalmPDF - Great if you need to read those PDF files on the go.

Sprint Mobile Email - Access a variety of email addresses with true Push ability. Great interface. I enjoy it over Versamail.

Sudoku - Another Addicting game.

Toccer ... Soon to change to ChatWorks though - Great utility for AIM users. Allows timestamps and other functions.

Yahdice - All these wonderfull games. This one is a Yatzhee impersonator.

ZLauncher - great launcher for Treos. Price is worth it for the end result.

Hope you try some of these if you don't already have them!

No need for a paper clip just unscrew the end of the 600s stylus and use that to reset.

Bhajis Loops
I did not see this listed, but for your musicians out there you gotta try Bhajis Loops. You can compose music and output to wav files via hotsynch, or on the device(although this method takes a whole heck of a lot longer). But if that were all, it would not be all that attractive. You can import samples stored on the card. Add effects to the samples (and there are many you just have to download them and put them in).  Mash the samples up in a synthesizer module (If you like), assign it as an instrument, write you music in a variety of time signatures, on a piano roll, beat chart, or assign sounds to keys and record on the fly. Modify the all sorts of parameters on a per note basis while writing the music. Make loops, stack loops. Full mixer with 4 FX sends. Master faders ganged or separate. Master FX. Full automation of synth mod mentioned earlier. Full automation of just about any parameter for any instrument. Volume, pan, resonance, pitch... And the list goes on and on. Oh and all of this is in real time. You can assign up to 64 instruments. It renders songs to 44.1k CD quality wave forms. I am on a Palm 700p and have written several fairly complex songs ON MY PHONE. Ghaw, ya gotta love it. Now, if you get too much going it will slow down, but think about what it is processing. It is truly amazing. Plus they have a small community forum and there are many examples of music that has been made with it. (Personally I would seek out music by Prive and Transient as they have the best grasp of this thing and the best examples of what can be done). The program is about $30 bucks and worth WAY more than that. I have been using it for close to a month now and it is full on, in my top 5 apps, if not my top. http://www.chocopoolp.com/bj_index.php

If you should decide to use Bhajis Loops, it is good to have a lot of RAM available, so
ZLauncher

Then the rest of my laundry list.
One Touch Timer (Stupidly simple and used all the time)
Palm Tunes (deluxe)
TCPMP
Bike or Die
Google Maps
NVBackUp - Free and it rocks. It has saved my butt too many times.
LED Off

I love my Treo. It does too many cool things. Oh yeah... And did you know that there is a phone on here.  Cool

Indeed, Bhajis Loops is extremely powerful, especially alongside the PiooPioo player - to note, they're also both available here in our Downloads Section.

Oh my goodness, this could be a neverending list:

RescoExplorer for file management
Propel as my launcher - like Initiate, but actually stable :-) (runner-up: MegaLauncher)
Uninstall/Cleanup to keep my Treo 700p cleaned up
NVBackup to provide security in case I have to hard reset my phone.
TCPMP for movies
eReader for books
MyBible by Laridian for bible study (followed by Bible+)
DailyReader for devotionals
SMS Advanced for scripture memory, sermon notes, and prayers
Garmin Mobile XT + Holus GPSlim236 for navigation (hasn't steered me wrong yet)
NoviiRemote for remote control of my laptop and entertainment system
Salling Clicker for bluetooth control of my pc
Butler & Technician for utilizing the best phone functions the Treo has to offer
CallRec for recording those necessary calls
VoiceDial for voice activated dialing (through mic, wired headset, or car kit)
ResetDoctor for cache management (needed to allow me to use Garmin w/o soft resets)
LJP for emulation of old school game systems
GraffitiAnywhere to add graffiti back to my Treo
DocumentsToGo for mobile office work
MusicTones for making my own mp3 ring tones
varoius music programs for composition, tuning, ear training, etc.

Those are the absolute essentials needed to keep my Treo running smoothly and doing all that I need it to do.  I have more games than I can count, but I can live w/o most of them.  Hope this list is helpful to some of you!

Very curious to find the cream of the crop. Please note if you've tested it with the 650 please.
