Hi All, For the past few days, i have been perfecting my version of the "Flight Mode" wallpaper. I was inspired by the smartphone on aircraft topic, where someone posted a Flight Mode picture. Since it contained a Treo 600 and Boeing 737-700, I decided to make it a little more modern. Here is my version of Flight Mode with a GSM 650 and a Boeing 777-200LR. Feel free to edit and perfect it, just make sure you post it back here so we all can see. My biggest concern right now is that the pic doesn't fit the phone app. For those who excel at picture editing, have fun perfecting my very crude version 1.0.  |

Best if 494X345. The problem is, it's hard to get a square pic into rectangular without stretching it. 494X447 is the dimensions of my Prevost wallpaper. Note: I use 2 favorites row, and that works best. It'd be great, az, if you could do it. Thanks for trying!  |

Same here, given that the Treo's screen is 320x320.... I'll give it a shot this week sometime (though I reserve the right to change the aircraft shown...then again, I may just try creating a couple of different versions!)

Since I use zlauncher I need to make the final pic 320x280 to allow for the toolbars on top and bottom. I think I could really perfect a good flight mode screen....I will get to work on some and post them later on this weekend....I have the whole weekend to myself since the other half is working.....this should really burn her bum that I am playing on my Laptop with PSP and not working on the house....LOL!

DickieD, I stretched my Prevost pic to fit the screen (original pic is 494X345). These numbers were created randomly. Ever since, all my wallpapers are that size.

OK, it took me a while to get around to it, but I finally managed to come up with my "Treo 650 Flight Mode Wallpaper v. 1.0". Like any other v. 1.0 product, it isn't perfect, but I think it's a pretty good start. The final dimensions (based on limitations imposed by the background image's original proportions) are 320px by 258px...which means that when displayed on the 650's screen, you lose the bottom of the image a little way below the 5-way navigator if you're using two rows of Favorites buttons, or about half-way down the keyboard if you only have one row. It's still recognisably a Treo 650 though, and is "good enough" for now. Please let me know what you think! I'll work on a version for the Treo 600, and revise this one if there's sufficient demand. Enjoy! |

How are you applying yours to the treo AZ......
Go to the Phone app and choose General Preferences, then select the option to display wallpaper and choose this image as your wallpaper and tap OK. Voila, Flight Mode! |

I would guess the flight attendants are not really that concerned and are only told to say no cellphones.....they really do not benefit from disbelieving it is an actually on flight mode.
Most are probably noteven familiar enough with the treo to know what it is capapble of...
I think it would work....
